Our Events

Music and charity - a wonderful combination; this is the idea of Tomoko und Kurt Masur. They organised many important events for benefit of the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Foundation and the Mendelssohn House in Leipzig. For the future there are planned another concerts and gala events.
2004 6th December: Paris, Théâtre de Champs-Élysées - Gala with Hélène Mercier and Louis Lortie

28th September: London, Gala in the residence of the German ambassador
22th October: Tokyo, Gala in the German embassy
2005 23th October: Osaka, Gala
24th October: Hamburg, Evening for Mendelssohn - co-operation with the Mendelssohn Society Hamburg

26th February: Cambridge, Event in Peterhouse
6th April: Venice, Gala in Teatro La Fenice
2007 16th June: Leipzig, Gala in the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig - Maestro Masur's 80th birthday and Mendelssohn Prize 2007
2008 6th March: Gala Concert in the Leipzig Gewandhaus and Mendelssohn Prize 2008
2009 2nd February: Gala Concert in the Leipzig Gewandhaus and Mendelssohn Prize 2009

14th June: Gala event in the Mendelssohn House, visit of Queen Silvia of Sweden
